The oil pump set is a single stage, axial flow, glandless pump. It is designed for flange mounting in either horizontal or vertical position. It has an integrally cast aluminum frame for motor & pump. The oil pump is designed for forced oil cooling of transformer winding and the expected performance is shown on rating plate. All the moving parts are completely enclosed and gasket thus permitting open air installation, without any need for protection cover. It is compact in design.
The motor is squirrel cage induction type suitable for 3 Phase A.C Power supply. The oil pump of transformer is coaxial with the pump and is designed to operate in hot transformer oil. The bearing is lubricated by transformer oil.
